OMGoodness how on earth can a 2.5yr old drive you to the edge of distraction? I would never have believed it until having Maxi!!!
right now he is yelling at me over and over and over again, without a breath about wanting the "sticky tape" which is isn't allowed due to the meltdowns he has when he can't get the tape to break off!
he has taken to pinching his brothers cheek hard and running away! argghhh! or ripping his big brothers picture books up and also scrunching up Jack's drawings and running away!
How many times can you put a child in timeout, naughty chair, special spot, bed, outside etc before he will stop the destruction? cause it's driving me mental!
Today I had a rage inside of me when he deliberately ripped up some special papers I had just told him not to rip! blatantly, and with intent! there was no accident and he followed it with a smile of satisfaction! needless to say he ended up in his bed and had a day nap!
Back to reading "Toddler Taming" and working out a different technique because everything I have been trying is obviously not working...I feel so sorry for Jack as he bears the brunt of his little brothers meanness at times! I am totally suprised that he doesn't hit back or do the same to Maxi, but he doesn't...and that does make me proud...now to work on the middle child!!
